Instructors

Cathal "Ben" Bennett

Cathal Bennett, better known as Ben,  is the main driving force behind the Rockclimbing Clinic. Originally, from Kildare Ben has been climbing since his teens. He moved to Mayo in 1994 to instruct rock climbing and has spent the last 15 years instructing his two passions climbing and surfing.

Having moved to Co. Clare and working in the Burren Outdoor education Centre Ben realised although the Burren is very accessable to walkers few if get to enjoy the amazing climging treasures it offers. He set up Bens Rockclimbing Clinic to help introduce climbing to a wider aduience in a safe fun manner, with lots of personnal attention and due to the small groups the flexability to progress at the level of each individual.

Padric Nolan

A graduate of Castlebar GMIT Outdoor Education Course. Padraig is the quintsential outdoor instructor, enthusiastic and always positive when he is not instructing he can be found up a hill, rock or on a board, or in a kayak somewhere. Highly qualified and experienced but also pushing to improve himself, you will be in safe hand with this man. Might even get a giggle or two out of you as well.
